Dave Johnson

I started at Williams when it first opened its doors in 1793, and with the exception of an almost-200 year interlude, have been here ever since.

Once upon a time, I was the tennis and squash coach here (beginning in 1989), then taught in the Art History department (conference sections in 101 under head coach, Prof EJ Johnson) for 13 years at the same time that I landed in the best possible job on campus in the Dean’s Office (in 1999), where I work with the Junior Advisors, oversee First Days, and my favorite part—talking to students all day, learning about who they are, and helping them solve problems.
