If you’ve been diagnosed with a concussion Health Services will notify the Dean’s Office and they will notify your professors (you will be copied on that email).
If you’re ill and not able to attend class it is your responsibility to notify your professors directly if you are physically able to. If you have been seen at Health Services you may copy the health care provider that you saw on the email which will verify your illness. If the professor still requests a “note” contact the Dean’s Office ([email protected]).
Every professor has his or her own policies and practices regarding absences from class and the Dean’s Office cannot override their decisions.
